This is what I did. I'd heard about tomato juice, but I didn't have any. So we sprayed vinegar directly on the area. Then hydrogen peroxide with dish soap. Followed up with my 12 year old son's "Axe" body wash. It seemed to work! By the time my nose had recuperated enough to actually see if he still stunk, Trogg was finally dried off. I neglected the area right between his eyes. The animal control officer who came over to rescue us from this cute but nuisance animal suggested liquid laundry soap. It is amazing how much space is between a BT's eyes! Most other dogs would have ended up with soap in their eyes. Anyway, dish soap or laundry soap works pretty well, but you can still smell it. My neighbor told me today that he used a product called "Skunk Off" that he found at the plant nursery for his husky. It has an enzyme in it that digests the odor causing oil completely removing all traces of the odor. The nursery is closed this time of year, and most of the smell is gone enough that we can live with it. I'm really glad we never let the dogs on the furniture now.
