You can call NDR at 800 NDR-DOGS and see if they have that mark registered.

Its highly likely that he's from a mill or BYB.
Thats what I was thinking too. I've seen ones like it before but just cant remember where. Usually when rescues tattoo dogs its always the females to show their spayed, like Russ2yall said, the boys would be obvious

My mom has a retired racing Greyhound and he has tattoo inside each of his ears. The one ear is his racing identification number and the other ear has his birthday and what number pup he was in the litter. It's kind of neat. With his racing ID we were able to look up all of his racing history and found out why he was retired at such a young age...he was too slow. lol On a sad note though he has ear issues now. Even when you pet him you have to stay clear of his ears or he will squeal and run away. I'm just so thankful that we adopted him though, otherwise he would have been buried in a mass grave when he was only 1 year old! All because they weren't "good" anymore, in other words, they weren't making their owners money any more so they should be disposed of.
