Default Ears & Nose
Old 02-22-2010, 02:21 PM   #1 (permalink)

So, Moxie just turned 5 months old on Saturday.. BUT his nose still has a lot of pink & his ears are not standing up.. Do you think they still have time to change or is it too late? Dont get me wrong, I love him just as he is, just wondering what to expect. Thanks!

The older they get the more spots or black pops up. Carl is nine months old and is still getting spots. His mommy was spotted and his ears are so big even though they stand up most of the time one still flops over from time to time.

His ear won't fill in. His nose may a bit more. Give him more time for his ears. But he may always have floppy ears. Don't rub them, that doesn't help. It makes the cartilage softer. Although he is THE CUTEST puppy ever. Post more pictures please!!

I know his ear wont fill in, I was just wondering if they still have a chance to stand up if they havent yet. I was looking at pics of him even from just a month ago & his nose has filled in A LOT since then. So Im not as worried about that anymore. Guess Im around him so much I havent really realized it.

There is still time for the ears to stand up. Tank is almost 7 months and his are standing now, but sometimes they still fall down or curl on the tips. I think they started staying up pretty well between 5-6 months. Once all the adult teeth are in the ears should stand better.
His nose might stay a little spotted. But he sure is cute!!

It varies dog to dog, Sallys stood up at 6-7 weeks old and her nose was completely black by then too! It just depends, look at the parents that helps allot!
