Default Puppy Shampoo
Old 03-09-2010, 09:12 AM   #1 (permalink)

I know that Bostons do not have to be bathed much, but I am wondering what kinds of shampoo you all use on your Bostons. I have found some organic soap which is made for dog and is for sensitive skin, I am thinking this might be a good place to start.. Also any recommendation on brushes? It looks like most people like the kong brushes, and they are rated well...

Thanks !!

I -love- the Eartbath puppy shampoo! It's made with all natural ingredients and smells wonderful, like cherry! Their entire line of products are really great, and I highly recommend any of them. We have not been disappointed with anything we have ever gotten from them. Btw - I even use the puppy shampoo on my adults, it's a very mild shampoo, and doesn't dry out their coat or make them itchy.

For a brush, we use the furminator. My dogs hardly shed at all, because they're fed a high quality grain-free food, and get daily supplements (fish oil, coconut oil, vitamin e, and ester-c) so their coats are super shiny, soft, and they barely shed! It's great. They shed a little more when it's transitioning from warmer months to cooler months or vice versa, but we just bath them and give them a good brushing and we're good to go!

I use Skinny Skinny Fetching dog shampoo bar. It is awesome. It smells like ivory soap with a hint of citronella, rosemary, and a bunch of other herby things. Henry loves it and it lasts a REALLY long time. It's all natural and handmade, and has natural bug repellents in it. Before I started using it Henry had acne all over his back and his hair was falling out over the scabs, now he has all of his shiny fur.

for a while, lucy was really dandruffy and losing her hair.

i used this:

and i swear, she's silky, shiny and fuzzy all over.

as far as the ingredients go, it looks better than my expensive salon brand shampoo!

I have a Westie with skin allergies..I had to try so many products untill i got one that worked. Bostons don't seem to be as bad as westies with "skin/fur." But you want something that will get the job done. I use http://www.jefferspet.com/ssc/produc...=10829&link=61 which is for white dogs. I'm going to have to find something else when I get my lil guy, so I'm glad you put up this Post!
